What you’ll need to be our Education Supervisor: Outgoing, people-oriented, and able to motivate and inspire others to achieve results Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Very detail-oriented and able to adhere to established policies and procedures Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with early childhood courses as determined by the Head Start Act Four years’ experience in preschool classroom settings Minimum of two years in a supervisory role preferred; direct supervision responsibilities preferred Why you’ll love working with us: Status – Full-time, non-exempt Engaging, meaningful work that makes a difference in our local communities Excellent leadership & work culture that values & recognizes its employees Starting Pay - What you’ll do as the Education Supervisor: Establish and maintain positive relationships with assigned partners. Address parent concerns in accordance with OWCAP’s Community Complaint Process. Supervise assigned Head Start or Early Head Start staff, including, but not limited to, teachers and teacher assistants, to ensure compliance with Head Start Standards and OWCAP Policies and Procedures. Provide regular reflective supervision to assigned staff to support quality service implementation and professional growth throughout the year. Monitor assigned sites to ensure quality and compliance with program performance standards and other applicable regulations. Monitor assigned classrooms for required educational requirements and quality implementation of services. Conduct and support ongoing monitoring to include the areas of education, safety, disabilities, mental health and other areas as established by program systems. Utilize the online database system, Child Plus. Review documentation and reports pertaining to assigned sites and classrooms and address any identified issues. Work cooperatively with the Education Services Manager to ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), systems, policies, and other regulations, both state and local laws. Participate in the interview process; recommendations for hiring, firing, or promotions; provide training; conduct performance evaluations; develop employee professional development plans; and conduct corrective action plans or disciplinary actions when necessary.
