Education Specialist THIS IS A REQUIRED DRIVING POSITION Our Club staff colleagues are educators, coaches, mentors, community leaders and ambassadors. We are currently seeking candidates for our Engelstad Location (3540 South Cambridge Street LV, NV 89169) at this time. The Education Specialist is responsible for overseeing all Academic Success (Education and Arts) programs at their assigned Clubhouse(s). This includes planning, development, reporting, and implementation of these programs in collaboration with the Programs team. The Education Specialist also assists with other operational functions of the Clubhouse and may serve as acting Clubhouse supervisor in the absence of the Clubhouse Director and Assistant Clubhouse Director.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization working with youth in an education and/or art setting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with time constraints and handle multiple demands.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with the public, families, Youth Development Professionals, and members.
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for the safety, well-being, and output of others.
  • Strong communication skills
  • completion of our Culture Index Survey is required for consideration
