This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA Office of Assessment, Accountability, and Analytics Job Focus Area This position will oversee Louisiana Department of Education's (LDOE) Student Unique ID assignment and DirectCert program reporting and as well as supporting public school systems, non-public schools, and childcare centers with their identifier needs. Additionally this person is responsible to support research and analytic activities to validate data collections and collaborate with several divisions to produce data for various reporting collections. Furthermore, the analyst will perform other data or research tasks critical to the Department's mission. Primary job duties/responsibilities assigned to this position lie in the Office of Assessments Accountability and Analytics. A master's degree in education, statistics, mathematics, or in a data analytics, data management, information technology, or social sciences field. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected. Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group. As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Education Research Analyst 1/2/3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
