About The Position

The Sprituality, Culture, and Health ( SCH ) Program Coordinator will directly oversee the SCHprogram by managing faculty, staff and students across multi-disciplinary UNMC colleges and departments and stakeholders external to UNMC including tribal representatives, tribal and public school staff, educators, students and community members in Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana and Arizona to develop, implement, and evaluate science curricula and research experiences aimed to promote student interest in the sciences, address Native American health disparities, and ultimately develop our regional and national workforce by increasing the number of Native Americans entering health professions and research careers. This position will build SCH program capacity by supervising student participants in research experiences and fostering communication, partnership, and bi-directional knowledge sharing between the SCH program and all stakeholders. This position will manage and disseminate all existing and new SCH program curriculum, including research, education and training and professional development opportunities in collaboration with local and national schools, tribes, academic institutions, organizations and other stakeholders. This position will be responsible for overseeing all program data management and evaluation, including managing data collection and dissemination with SCH staff, an external evaluator, internal and external stakeholders, Westat, the National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Service Administration, and other funders.
