About The Position

The Education Manager leads the design and delivery of evidence-informed education and engagement programs that support education, capacity building, and community engagement. This role provides expert guidance and supervision to the education team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, standards, and community needs, and drives implementation through coaching, technical expertise, and systems integration. The Education Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations and collaborates internally and externally with community stakeholders to strengthen the impact and sustainability of education initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Health Education, Sexuality, Education, Social Science discipline or related field. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in staff supervision and development, and program management and evaluation.
  • Two (2) years’ experience providing education and training for youth and adults, leading classroom and/or large youth and adult groups in health‐related topics, and providing professional development, training, and content and instructional material design and development.
  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships/collaborations, as well as developing new programs and expanding existing ones.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement programs serving diverse communities in a culturally responsive manner and to work with diverse populations.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to effectively present information to individuals and groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Education team members; provide regular observation and coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Guide implementation of education programming through hands-on technical assistance, strategy consultations, and oversight of facilitation quality and fidelity.
  • Hire and lead onboarding, specialized training, and ongoing skill-building for staff and interns.
  • Set and monitor performance expectations, benchmarks and metrics, and evaluation tools to monitor staff and team impact, ensuring effectiveness and accountability.
  • Facilitate regular check-in and team meetings, and support a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive work environment that aligns with our values and service standards.
  • Assist with development and guide the implementation of annual workplans and programs.
  • Lead implementation of state-wide capacity building for sex education and health literacy.
  • Oversees community needs assessments and inform strategies that expand access, increase engagement, and ensure education delivery.
  • Ensure implementation of education programs goals grounded in best practices, evidence informed and emerging learnings from the field, and community input.
  • Support the evaluation process; track and analyze program data to ensure impact, quality, and continuous improvement; apply findings to inform team coaching, curriculum design, and improvements.
  • Ensure continuous improvement through structured evaluation, stakeholder feedback, and adaptation of evidence-based and community-informed approaches.
  • Build and sustain partnerships, referrals, and agreements to strengthen reach and ensure goals are met.
  • Represent the organization as a subject matter at community events, coalitions, and convenings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Volunteer Engagement, Health Services, Development) to integrate education into broader organizational initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that advance health equity and expand community engagement.
  • Ensure program data is collected properly and timely reported.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations within the Education department, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Develop, administer, and update policies and procedures to guide and maintain education services.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal standards, funder expectations, accreditation, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Contribute technical content to grant proposals and reports; document program learnings to inform fund development and storytelling.
