The Education Coordinator will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining educational programs and services, staff member development and supervision, and client discipline to ensure an educational environment by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Interprets and implements policies and procedures and state regulations and laws relevant to education and the operation of a privately licensed school. Manage the overall operations of the school to include staff supervision, policy and procedure development, educational activities, and budgeting preparation. Establish and maintain public relations program that results in a cooperative working relationship between the school and external educational agencies. Supervises, assists with hiring, and evaluates staff performance, develops measurable objectives for necessary improvements and implements appropriate corrective action to staff adhering to human resources policies and utilizing Human Resources when necessary. Assist the appropriate administrative staff members to obtain, monitor, budget, and report school finances. Establish and maintain efficient procedures and effective controls for all expenditures of school funds in accordance with the approved budget. Ensure filing of all necessary reports as required by the State's Department of Education. Ensure the development and implementation of quality education curriculum, programs, instructional methodologies, and etc. that are consistent with the assessed individual needs, abilities, and clients' interest. Coordinate and implement with the appropriate training department to develop an annual and professional development plan for all educational staff members. Work with appropriate clinical staff members to assess community and client needs to ensure the integration of treatment processes along with educational processes. Assumes responsibility for monitoring the planning and preparation for school events such as graduation, birthday celebrations, and school theatrical events. Attend staff meetings and conferences. Supports the Abraxas' philosophy and missions and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care. Performs other duties as required.
