To function as a member of the Inpatient Program, working collaboratively to increase educational success and treatment outcomes for youth that are out of school. Work as a programming float for the treatment needs of youth in care. Provide supervision to members of the Inpatient team as assigned. Examples of Essential Functions: Provide supervision and programming to clients/consumers that cannot or do not attend school due to IEP structures, removals, suspensions, etc. Provide supervision, support and direction to YSWs assigned Work collaboratively with school staff to provide educational support to clients/consumers not attending school for any reason Act as a contact for district school personnel when clients/consumers are removed for any reason Request homework or supplemental work to maintain school requirements Ensure homework is passed to appropriate team members for school success Monitor school removals, suspensions, phone calls for tracking purposes Utilize data to monitor trends by schools, client/consumer and needs Monitor client's/consumer's grades and communicate with Inpatient Leadership Coordinate with staff members for client's/consumer pickups/drop offs when the school districts transportation is not available Complete DOs with client's/consumer's behavior while in on-campus classroom Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for youth through strong communication, observation and awareness skills Provide support to campus programming as dictated by needs, in particular when there is no school scheduled Complete all necessary trainings as assigned including First Aid, CPR, MANDT and mandatory reporter training Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with Tanager Place policies, procedures and safety practices Attend work regularly at the designated place and time Perform additional assignments as directed QualificationsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities Effectively utilize the Agencys Electronic Health Record system Knowledge and use of the Agencys Resilience and Trauma Informed Care model Ability to quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information and/or technology Must have excellent time management skills Ability to work autonomously Ability to critically think through issues/problems and identify effective solutions/outcomes Ability to cope under stressful situations, manage frequent interruptions and handle complex assignments Consistent and reliable with task completion, often completing assignments ahead of deadlines with exceptional quality Ability to maintain regulation during crises and implement appropriate response Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain positive effective working relationships with other Tanager Place team members, school supports and the community Ability to operate a personal computer using program applications appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively and to maintain effective working relationships to accomplish job responsibilities Ability to act as a positive emissary of Tanager Place in all meetings with school support, community partners and other Agency team members to promote a positive image of Tanager Place at all times Acceptable Experience/Training/ Education: Graduation from high school or GED Two (2) years' undergraduate course work from an accredited college or university Two (2) years' previous work experience in a health services field Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work Physical Demands: Requires the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: Clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the team member to communicate effectively Sufficient vision, which permits the team member to produce and review a wide variety of materials in both electronic and hardcopy forms Sufficient manual dexterity, which permits the team member to operate a keyboard and to make handwritten notations Sufficient personal mobility, which permits the team member to attend and observe the work in other offices and field work locations
