About The Position

The Education Coordinator provides advanced academic administration, coordination, and operational support to the Office of Academic Strategy to enable the effective design, delivery, and continuous improvement of academic programs across the College of Nursing. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Academic Strategy, the Coordinator works closely with instructional designers, faculty, staff, and university partners to support curriculum development, academic technologies, and faculty advancement across assigned projects and initiatives. This role requires independent judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to manage complex, interrelated workflows that support high-quality teaching, student learning outcomes, and programmatic success in traditional, hybrid, and online environments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years Administrative experience preferred.
  • Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external constituencies.
  • Position requires demonstrated computer proficiency using the MS Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous university experience preferred.
  • Utilizes enterprise systems and academic platforms (e.g. Banner, Canvas, Atomic Assessments, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Forms), with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support between the Office of Academic Strategy and faculty, students, and university stakeholders.
  • Provides administrative coordination and support for assigned College committees and meetings.
  • Supports the implementation and ongoing administration of academic technologies that enable curriculum delivery, assessment, and collaborating with instructional designers, and IS&T across multiple campuses.
  • Develops, maintains, and analyzes databases, reports, and tracking tools to support office operations, program oversight, and data-informed decision making.
  • Independently assesses and manages a wide range of academic and operational issues
  • Interacts with faculty, students, staff, and university partners across multiple campuses in a manner consistent with the values and mission of Thomas Jefferson University.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of the Office of Academic Strategy.
