About The Position

The Education and Facilitation Coordinator will work under the Education and Facilitation Manager with the department, people served, contractors, and community stakeholders. Part of this position will focus on facilitating restorative adult learning through in-person, virtual, and asynchronous education. This role also includes co-facilitation of Journey Ahead, a virtual support group specific to LGBTQ+ youth in foster care. The priorities of position will be determined by the Institute team based on commitments to people served, community stakeholders, funders, the strategic plan, the principles of work, and the agency mission. Key components of this role include virtual training facilitation and virtual group facilitation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, information sciences, education, or other related degree.
  • Four (4) years minimum working at a social service agency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and Virtual Meeting Software.
  • LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning) cultural and diversity competency.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in person and virtual training with internal and external colleagues, partner organizations and youth.
  • Support administrative work of the Ruth Ellis Institute including material development, advertising, registration tracking, and evaluation processing.
  • Research and assist design format for curriculum, training and workshop content internally and externally.
  • Provide technical assistance with training equipment and materials, contribute to innovative tools for learning.
  • Track and input data related to training, evaluation, technical assistance and research.
  • Work with the Ruth Ellis Institute to connect community to training, research and evaluation.
  • Facilitate functions described in Journey Ahead Facilitator job description 16 hours weekly.
  • Support contractual education, implementation of coaching and training work with other agencies.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, utilize calendars, work plans, timelines, and general project management.
  • Must be willing to travel, work some evenings and weekends.
  • Other duties as required.
