About The Position

Responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator in implementation of the extended care program's daily activities at their individual site; supervision of the children in the program; and the communication with students, staff members, and parents. This position will assist with the Extended Day Program Day Camps held over the school breaks and summer. Hours may vary from 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work well with children
• Effective communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred, but not required
• Education or Early Childhood experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at the program
• Provide a fun, safe, and positive environment
• Communicate with staff, students and parents
• Follow security measures in place to maintain the safety of the children
• Assist in implementing the program's daily activities
• Help to keep a clean and orderly program.
• Prepare and serve snacks
• Develop professional skills and knowledge appropriate to the job assignment
• Participate in staff development by attending staff meetings as assigned
• All other duties as assigned
