About The Position

The EDI Analyst I is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. This role requires a solid understanding of EDI standards, mapping, and transaction sets, as well as strong problem-solving skills. The Analyst will work with internal teams, external partners, and third-party providers to ensure accurate and timely exchange of business documents. This role entails working with other programs that may integrate with or used in conjunction with EDI.

Requirements

  • Current work in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on EDI experience in a business or technical analyst role. 3PL preferred
  • Proficiency with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and EDI communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN).
  • Experience with EDI mapping and translation software.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of supply chain, logistics EDI transactions, depending on industry.
  • Experience working with WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor).
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) Sql required. Postgresql preferred for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of APIs or hybrid EDI/API integrations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Team-oriented and proactive in problem resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Python experience a plus.
  • Javascript experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction errors, working with internal business units and external trading partners.
  • Monitor daily EDI transaction flows (e.g., 850, 810, 856, 940, 997, etc.) and resolve any processing failures.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and trading partners to resolve EDI-related issues.
  • Ensure EDI operations comply with industry standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and HIPAA (if applicable).
  • Provide Tier I support for EDI-related inquiries and incidents.
