About The Position

UF Health Leesburg Hospital offers a 48-bed state-of-the-art emergency center equipped with trauma-sized rooms for critical care plus triage rooms and a spacious new lobby. We have rapid-response laboratory services and digital imaging, including X-ray units within the ER. More than 35,000 people are treated each year by our highly trained emergency room staff. Under general supervision, the ED Clinical Data Specialist is responsible for all audits, patient chart reviews and data collection in compliance with hospital governing agencies. Upon review of the multiple data elements, the ED Clinical Data Specialist evaluates and synthesizes the elements to establish, implement and improve the measures in order to achieve effective and efficient processes with optimal patient outcomes. Through strong partnerships and communication with interdisciplinary teams, this position leads and participates in planning, delivery and continuous evaluation of the process improvement plan to achieve best practice outcomes. The ED Clinical Data Specialist participates in meetings as directed by Emergency Department Leadership and other projects assigned. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Requirements

  • BSN required
  • RN
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Two years recent ED clinical nursing experience
  • One year recent leadership experience in hospital setting

  • ENA Certified Emergency Nurse Preferred
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course Preferred
  • Trauma Nursing Course Preferred
