About The Position

This per diem position is for an ECT Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, primarily working day shifts. The role involves completing H+Ps for both maintenance and new ECT patients, typically scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. The APP will also contribute to the education of students and new employees through clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training. Requirements

  • Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner (for NP candidates)
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing (for NP candidates)
  • Active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing (for NP candidates)
  • Current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner (for NP candidates)
  • Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program (for PA candidates)
  • Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing (for PA candidates)
  • Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) (for PA candidates)
  • Clinical competence
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills
  • Computer competence
  • Active desire to learn

Responsibilities

  • Completing H+Ps for maintenance ECT patients and all new patients prior to starting treatment
  • Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training
