ECSE Occupational Therapist (0-3 years old)

About The Position

1. 0 FTE The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide ECSE services to infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) within the natural environment. This position will be on the stretch calendar.

Requirements

Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health as an Occupational Therapist
Strong academic background
Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community
Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with disabilities
Knowledge of working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations and families
Experience with completing Part C and Part B due process requirements

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coach and support families in the child's natural environments using the Primary Service Provider (PSP) model.
Partner with a transdisciplinary team through joint visits, consultation, and "role release" to provide unified family support
Cultivate trust and rapport with families and staff to maintain a positive, supportive environment.
Maintain accurate, timely records of home visits, progress notes, and annual reviews.
Facilitate IFSP, IEP and Progress Report meetings.
Complete evaluations and assessment of children for Part C and Part B services.
Carry out responsibilities as defined by master contract and supervisor.
Travel to homes and daycares is required and reimbursed per district policies
