About The Position

Woodland Community College is actively searching for a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates to fill part-time faculty (Adjunct) teaching positions. These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college. Prospective applicants can expect to be contacted and hired throughout the year in response to the institution’s specific instructional requirements. The adjunct pools remain open year-round and are routinely refreshed every two years to ensure an updated and dynamic group of potential educators. BASIC FUNCTION : Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Economics courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of Economics classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly Respond to student communication in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Master’s in economics OR Bachelor’s in economics AND Master’s in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science OR the equivalent (Must apply through YCCD’s Equivalency Application Process)
  • All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District ( YCCD ) by the application filing date.
  • applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
