About The Position

The School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking a part-time Instructor to teach one to three courses in Finance/Economics for the Fall 2026 Semester as well as other future semesters.

Requirements

• Earned Masters Degree in Economics, Master's in Finance, or a closely related field for undergraduate courses, or a PhD in Economics or Finance for graduate courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Successful candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences

Nice To Haves

• PhD in Economics or Finance
• College-level teaching experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• plan and teach one to three courses per semester on campus related to undergraduate or graduate Economics and Finance
• work effectively with diverse populations and audiences
• Follow best practices for teaching
• Hold at least one office hour per three credits taught
• Grade student work
• Submit student progress reports throughout the semester
• Response to administration and student emails
• Effectively use the Penn State learning management system (Canvas)
