This position performs advanced level work conducting economic research under the limited supervision of the Economic Consultant – SES in the Economic Research Analysis Section, Occupational Analysis team. Incumbent may collect and process economic and statistical data using econometric and sampling techniques. Work requires applying a logical or scientific understanding of business practices and procedures to analyze and resolve problems of a specialized or professional nature in a particular field, or in a wide range of applications. The Economic Analyst is a member of the Economic Research and Analysis team in the Bureau of Workforce Statistics and Economic Research (WSER), Division of Workforce Services. This position conducts economic, demographic, and employment research and analysis using programming, model building, statistics and regression techniques. They contribute to projects and assignments as part of project teams, ensuring integrity, timely, accurate and quality delivery while coordinating and supporting the project’s team. They use strong relationship and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams, agency partners and internal and external customers. The Economic Analyst supports WSER research projects that inform the public about the economic health of the State of Florida.
