Nothing in this posting or assignment should be interpreted as a guarantee of employment or consideration for future permanent roles What you will do: The Ecommerce Manager (Contractor) is responsible for the direct ecommerce channel of business, the shop.Tillamook.com online store. Management of this channel includes partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal product assortment, inventory management, seamless fulfilment, and meeting business objectives for revenue and profitability. The Ecommerce Manager should be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency with ecommerce platforms, fulfillment software, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is critical for ensuring the success and growth of our online store. Here’s a day in the life:

Requirements

  • 3 years of ecommerce experience
  • Experience with managing Shopify (required)
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and working with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and execute strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and time manage.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, SharePoint, Concur and D365

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Shopify ecommerce platform all functions and updates, including implementation of new themes, product updates, and content management.
  • Responsible for day-to-day execution and optimization of ecommerce operations. Support order management, customer issues and backend system checks.
  • Responsible for ecommerce P&L and revenue targets
  • Create and update product descriptions and images.
  • Execute promotions, launches and seasonal updates. Coordinate with contracted Web Developers to ensure successful launches of site updates
  • Activate discounts and manage promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor sales data and manage inventory levels.
  • Troubleshoot software and platform issues in partnership with Web Developers.
  • Conduct end-of-month financial reporting, including analysis of discounts, inventory costs, stock levels, and system reporting. Prepare and review reports for Concur and D365 platforms.
  • Manage shipping and fulfillment software (Ship Station) and operations.
  • Set up new item specifications including SKU and tags. Update and enhance automation processes within fulfillment software. Oversee order management and routinely check for address or verification issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the Buying team to understand monthly ordering, review shipping materials, and communicate inventory needs.
  • Audit shipping materials at multiple locations and report any product delays. Keep the Buying team updated on sales, order volumes, and other factors impacting inventory and forecasting.
  • Oversee comprehensive order management, ensuring seamless processing and fulfillment across platforms and teams. Coordinate Shopify, UPS, and fulfillment issues with cross-functional teams. Ensure timely shipment and fulfillment by warehouse teams.
  • Manage corporate gifting and large order inquiries, from initial contact to shipment. Communicate pricing, timelines, and order options with customers. Coordinate inventory and fulfillment with relevant teams for large orders.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with cross functional team members
  • Supervise and manage third-party, offsite fulfillment teams, ensuring inventory coordination, product updates, and adherence to packing guidelines. Audit third-party fulfillment quarterly and maintain positive relationships. Communicate SOPs and updates with sufficient lead time for implementation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal warehouse and fulfillment teams, regularly connecting about inventory and ensuring daily operations are met.
  • Prepare for the holiday season by overseeing inventory, purchasing, and coordinating LTOs with Marketing, Fulfillment, Buying, and Web Developer teams. Ensure all holiday merchandise is procured, delivered, and ready for sale.
  • Maintain close communication with the Consumer TLC team, staying updated on consumer feedback and ensuring reshipments are handled efficiently.
  • Be responsible for meeting business goals and budget targets for the online store.
  • Confront and resolve difficult situations in a proactive, objective, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
  • Embrace change by being open to new ideas and different approaches.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals, groups, management, and the general public.
  • Execute special projects such as researching shop upgrades, optimizing software and programming, reviewing Google Merchant Center reports, and introducing best-in-class operations and technology.
  • Work collaboratively with all TCCA stakeholders and partners.
  • Represent TCCA externally with professionalism and uphold company values when interacting with partners and consumers.
  • Assist with executing business strategies to facilitate short and long-term business objectives as defined by management.
  • Performs all non-revenue generating tasks as required such as, expense control, loss prevention training, etc.
  • Demonstrate awareness of the financial impacts of decision making. Maximize profitability by meeting or exceeding budgeted goals of P&L with emphasis on sales, labor and cost of goods
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-led insights
  • Lead projects independently. Demonstrate organization and prioritization, and attention to detail. Demonstrate excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision. Work on multiple projects simultaneously
