The Role ODD SOX is seeking an Lead Photpgrapher who lives and breathes individuality, hustle, and creativity. This role is perfect for a leader who thrives in an collabortive environment and wants to build something meaningful — not just move product. You will be responsible for creating high-quality, conversion-focused photography that supports Odd Sox’s direct-to-consumer website, third-party marketplaces, and digital marketing channels. This role requires a strong eye for detail, efficiency in execution, and a clear understanding of how imagery drives online sales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of eCommerce or product photography experience (apparel experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conversion-focused product photography.
  • Proficiency in studio lighting, camera equipment, and post-production tools (Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Experience shooting for DTC websites and online marketplaces.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with licensed products or lifestyle brands.
  • Knowledge of marketplace image requirements (Amazon, Walmart, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CRO principles and eCommerce analytics.
  • Video or short-form content experience for digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • eCommerce Photography Capture high-volume, consistent product photography for Odd Sox’s eCommerce platforms (DTC and third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, etc.).
  • Produce on-model, flat lay, and ghost mannequin photography optimized for conversion.
  • Ensure all imagery meets brand guidelines, marketplace requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Partner with eCommerce and merchandising teams to align photography with site strategy and product launches.
  • Digital Performance & Optimization Understand how photography impacts conversion rate, AOV, and customer engagement.
  • Optimize imagery for speed, clarity, and mobile-first shopping experiences.
  • Support A/B testing and iterative improvements to product imagery based on performance insights.
  • Workflow & Asset Management Manage photography workflow from shoot planning through post-production.
  • Maintain organized digital asset libraries with proper naming and version control.
  • Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-SKU environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with eCommerce, marketing, merchandising, and creative teams.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives including email, paid media, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Ensure visual consistency across all digital touchpoints.
