About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the E-Commerce Coordinator. The E-Commerce Assistant will help package orders, process returns and exchanges, and respond to voicemail inquiries. Must be organized and timely. Weekend availability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Effectively present information in one-on-one environments, small groups, to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Must be able to calculate figures such as sales, discounts, sales tax, percentages as well as calculate mark-up, cost of goods sold and margin.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks in a multi-discipline environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce department by helping fulfill daily orders, taking phone orders, and processing any returns/exchanges received via phone or mail.
  • Become comfortable with the operational aspect of the E-Commerce platform and cover shifts when the Operations Coordinator is out as well as during the weekend in the event of an online promotion.
  • Manage customer service related inquires and respond promptly to each inquiry quickly and effectively.
  • Access inventory management system to view inventory levels and gather product information.
  • Keep E-Commerce back room organized and product storage labeled efficiently.
  • Receive transfers from the warehouse and ensure counts are correct and product is placed in the appropriate location.
  • Participate in scheduled E-Commerce inventories.
