As Ecommerce Analyst based in New York City you will be supporting the Digital Strategy & Analytics Manager with reporting, analysis, and strategy of Madewell’s ecommerce business. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, CRM, Site, App, Merchandising, Planning, and Tech teams. This position reports to the Digital Strategy & Analytics Manager and is part of the Ecommerce team.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in analytical role, experience in retail industry not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (ie. Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and remain organized
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
  • Team player with an ability to build constructive and effective relationships across a broad and diverse group of business partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Looker, Google Analytics, PowerBI, SQL a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Website + app analytics Build and manage reports for the ecommerce business reflecting performance of website and app KPIs against trends and benchmarks
  • Actively monitor conversion funnel metrics, identify opportunities for conversion rate optimization
  • Support work with technical teams for site tagging and implementation decisions
  • Performance marketing Support with marketing channel forecasting and scenario planning to align KPIs with financial goals
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to key stakeholders on marketing channel performance
  • Ecommerce strategy Deliver performance recaps and insights for ecommerce events and promotions
  • Support ad hoc data requests and analyses from cross-functional teams as it relates to driving the ecommerce business (ie. Loyalty, CRM, Site Merchandising)
