Job Overview: The eCommerce Marketplace Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing third-party marketplace channels, including platforms such as Amazon and eBay. This role focuses on driving revenue growth while maintaining strong profit margins through strategic merchandising, pricing optimization, and performance analysis. This position plays a critical role in executing marketplace strategies by analyzing SKU-level performance, enhancing product listings, and monitoring account health metrics. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and driven to continuously test, learn, and improve results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or marketplace management
  • Experience selling on platforms such as Amazon or eBay preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to grammar, spelling, and detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience with data entry, databases, and independent research
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, concepts, and systems and apply them effectively
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective project management and organizational skills
  • Curiosity-driven approach to testing, learning, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily SKU-level analysis to optimize product listings, pricing, and bundling strategies to maximize sales and profitability
  • Merchandise new and existing products across marketplace channels to ensure accurate, compelling, and optimized listings
  • Monitor and manage marketplace account health metrics, ensuring compliance and strong performance
  • Analyze sales trends and provide regular reporting and forecasting insights to support revenue goals
  • Manage and optimize marketplace marketing efforts to achieve target cost-of-sale and ROI objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development and technical teams to implement enhancements and resolve issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and channel growth
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
