About The Position

Support activities and training in Ecoat including wet lab testing, technical recommendations, and troubleshooting quality issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in automotive industry with specific Ecoat experience
  • Aptitude for training and developing team members.
  • Proficient computer skills and software knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or related field of study is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Chemical knowledge and management
  • Chemical makeup/purpose/use
  • Familiarity with chemical reactions and negative affects
  • Knowledge of hazardous/non-hazardous chemicals and proper disposal techniques
  • Tracking chemical usage and proper reporting requirements to local and state govt
  • Product compliance and control
  • Certification of probes
  • Daily testing, titrations, control chart tracking and corrections
  • Chemical inventory management
  • Bath PM scheduling and management
  • Periodic panel and phosphate testing and submittals
  • Review film thickness data and process modifications to remain in control
  • Monthly benchtop meter and film meter probe calibration verifications
  • Review temp recorder monthly to maintain air compliance
  • Maintain Wastewater metals/cyanide/PH parameters to comply with city permit
  • Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PE
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Build relationships with and attends training with equipment suppliers to maximize equipment capability.
  • Confer with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes.
  • Demonstrate a hands-on ability to solve problems.
  • Supports continuous improvement.
  • Identify potential quality problems from drawings and/or be able to work with design for problems that develop in production.
  • Trains team members on department functions.
  • Writes and maintains process control manuals.
  • Direct production and quality activities to meet safety, quality standards, and delivery dates.
  • Rotating shifts is required.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Must be flexible to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish YKTA Goals and objectives.
