About The Position

The Scheduler will have excellent verbal communication skills and understands the importance of delivering superb patient care in a demanding environment. This individual will play a pivotal role in patient care by coordinating clinical visits with our providers and patients. In this role, the ability to connect with patients and help them understand the importance of these visits will be the key to being successful.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Able to type 40+ WPM is required
  • Self-directed, proactive, and good problem-solving skills
  • Strong data entry, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • High integrity, team player with patient service focus
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Self-starter that can work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks and has initiative and excitement to take on unfamiliar tasks.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, graphic presentation and computer software related to specific tasks
  • Demonstrated excellent computer and word processing skills with special emphasis on calendaring, presentation, and spreadsheet capabilities
  • Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and operations
  • Excellent composition, grammar, and business language skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, patients, and family members.
  • Creative, flexible, well organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scheduling medical appointments or procedures preferred
  • Bi-lingual candidates preferred
  • Experience with EHR preferred
  • Experience in medical field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to enroll/schedule patients for CCMD Programs
  • Complete necessary documentation
  • Coordinate and serve as liaison between health care facilities and clinicians and/or patients and clinicians.
  • Coordinate procedures for patients and transportation if needed.
  • Review patient schedules to maximize patient service.
  • Accurately inputs all relevant patient information into computer.
  • Assist/complete billing for calls and encounters.
  • Assist case management team if needed.
