About The Position

The Eclipse Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical and functional support for the Soar Eclipse ERP application, ensuring smooth operations, troubleshooting issues, and delivering exceptional user experience. This role involves working closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors to maintain system stability and optimize ERP performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering Epicor Eclipse in a distribution or similar environment (13+ years preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in user setup, permissions, and module configuration for large user groups.
  • Strong functional knowledge of core Epicor modules: Sales Order, Purchase Order, A/P, A/R, Inventory, and Job Management.
  • Proven ability to create custom reports and perform system-level troubleshooting.
  • Track record of developing SOPs, training users, and supporting ERP projects and upgrades.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF and WMS processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business users to understand requirements, set up new users, and ensure optimal use of Eclipse modules such as Sales Order, Purchase Order, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Inventory, and Job Management.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support for end users, resolving issues related to system functionality, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and support training initiatives.
  • Create and customize reports using Epicor Report Writer and other available tools to meet business needs.
  • Lead and participate in ERP projects, system upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with development teams and vendors for bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Train and support users at all levels, fostering a culture of self-sufficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the “go-to” resource for Solar Eclipse, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance system utilization and efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, communication, and follow-through in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
