About The Position

Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.

Requirements

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience (Required)
  • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire - Default Issuing Body
  • Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Skills: Cardiac Testing, Communication, Customer Service, Epic Knowledge, Health Information Documentation, Medical Devices And Tools

Responsibilities

  • Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
  • Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
  • Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
  • Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
  • Assists in approved research activities.
  • Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
  • Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.

  • Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and formal training.(Graduation from an accredited training program in cardiac ultrasound = 2 years).
