This role involves using advanced ultrasound technology to capture detailed images of the heart and surrounding structures, ensuring accurate diagnosis, and contributing to effective patient management. The Echo/Vascular Tech will collaborate with ordering cardiologists to provide high-quality care and support optimal patient outcomes. May perform cardiac, carotid, and/or vascular ultrasounds (dependent upon licensure).

Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Knowledge of ultrasound equipment
  • Skill with time management
  • Skill in performing diagnostic ultrasound testing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written)
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience performing ultrasounds in a hospital or medical office environment.
  • Current registration (CCI or ARDMS).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cardiac, carotid and/or vascular ultrasounds while complying with Cardiac Solutions protocol and ICAEL standards for ultrasound testing.
  • Assess imaging in order to identify next steps per departmental protocol.
  • Assist physicians by providing the measurements and pictures acquired during testing in an accurate, precise manner.
  • Actively demonstrate a working knowledge of ultrasound techniques and principles to provide quality imaging.
  • Consistently seek educational tools in order to stay current with professional registry and ICAEL standards.
  • Completing patient exams and reports per departmental protocol.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team and facility meetings.
  • Shares knowledge, experience, and education relevant to sonography with peers.
  • Travels to all offices as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of licensure.
