The Echocardiographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations for both inpatient and outpatient populations. This role is responsible for preparing and operating echocardiography equipment, obtaining accurate patient histories, explaining procedures, and producing high-quality images for physician interpretation. The Echocardiographer prepares preliminary findings and communicates results to the cardiologist in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or graduation from an AMA-approved Ultrasound Program required
  • ARDMS registry required within one year of hire to maintain employment
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and healthcare staff
  • Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images
