About The Position

We are seeking an Echo Technologist to join our amazing team and ensure we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role: As the Echo Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of advanced cardiac imaging procedures ordered by the physician. You will independently perform and assist with complex studies, including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE). You will demonstrate proficiency and competence in administering ultrasound enhancing agents (contrast) for optimal diagnostic image quality. You will ensure exceptional patient safety by maintaining knowledge of and strict adherence to disinfection and sterilization protocols for specialized cardiac equipment, particularly TEE probes. You will be responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. You will serve as a role model and clinical resource for the staff. You will respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff, or patient issues.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Echo Medical Sonography Program.
  • Certifications: ARDMS or CCI registration is required (registered or eligible, to be obtained within 6 months of hire). Current American Heart Association BLS certification (obtained/maintained according to hospital policy).
  • Experience: One year of clinical experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
  • Proven competence in administering ultrasound contrast agents.
  • Knowledge of and strict adherence to disinfection and sterilization protocols for specialized cardiac equipment, particularly TEE probes.
