Position Summary The Ebilling Appeals Coordinator will work with the Appeals team to analyze and record all ebill reductions, gather information for the appeal submission by coordinating with Billing Teams, Administrative Assistants and Attorneys. Track the submissions and approvals of all appealed invoices that have been rejected or reduced by the firm’s ebilling clients to recognize trends.

Requirements

  • Experience with Ebilling for a law firm, preferably in a large law firm environment.
  • Experience with online Ebilling vendors such as; Passport, Tymetrix, Collaborati, CounselLink, Serengeti and Ascent.
  • Experience with Ebilling submission tools such as eBilling Hub or BillBlast.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Creative-Analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt and quick thinker
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • High level attention to details and accuracy skills.
  • High school diploma, college graduate preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Current Aderant or Elite user a plus
  • Familiarity with third party legal ebilling vendors preferred.
  • Previous experience as a billing coordinator a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit appeals for reduced invoices.
  • Logging reduced invoices for all clients.
  • Tracking and updating all reduced invoices in database and smart sheet.
  • Following up with firm timekeepers to prepare for appeal responses.
  • Corresponding with clients to ensure successful appeals and payment of the appealed invoices.
  • Obtaining necessary approvals from responsible attorneys for write-offs, late appeals, etc.
  • Analyze appeal data to recognize trends and help develop solutions.
