About The Position

Parsons is seeking passionate, skilled, and experienced professionals to join a major program and construction management team that is dedicated to supporting a large government customer in successfully delivering on a significant infrastructure project central to the United States’ border security programs. In our anticipated role, Parsons will provide Owner Agent Construction Management Services including Program Management, Construction Management, Risk Management, Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Progress Reporting, Construction Quality Assurance, Safety, and other supporting services to achieve program success.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 5+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required
  • Local applicants strongly preferred.
  • Must have US person status and ability to obtain/maintain US federal program site and systems accesses by means of passing background check

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification preferred.
  • Heavy constructions experience preferred
  • Prior federal government project experience highly desired
  • Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advises and assists the most senior construction site representative in the establishment and management of ESHARP Management and Parsons SH&E processes, identifying and eliminating/controlling any hazards to persons and property.
  • Manages a team of safety specialists
  • Inspects the job site to detect and provide direction of correction of safety hazards.
  • Initiates and conducts accident investigations and prepares investigations with root causes.
  • Represents management during safety inspections of the job site by regulatory authorities or client representatives.
  • Receives, reviews and distributes safety inspection reports with recommended corrective actions.
  • Conducts risk assessments for upcoming work and provides technical assistance to the safety planning process.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
