About The Position

Earned Value Management (EVM) Analyst Work Location: Huntsville, AL Schedule: Full Time Relocation: Negotiable This position is contingent upon contract award. IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Earned Value Management (EVM) Analyst in the Huntsville, AL area supporting an upcoming Long Range Standoff Weapon (LRSO) effort. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying EVM principles in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements to monitor schedule and cost performance, identify potential risks, and provide actionable insights to program leadership and stakeholders. This role will work closely with program managers and government stakeholders to ensure EVM practices are aligned with program objectives and support successful program execution. The candidate must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple tasks. A strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively with others, and a healthy desire to continuously learn and grow are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Program Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience in EVM, program control, cost/schedule analysis, or related roles in a government contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EVM principles, guidelines, and standards.
  • Experience preparing and analyzing both contractor and government financial reports, as well as other EVM reporting documents.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Project software (required).
  • Ability to analyze complex schedule and cost data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze project critical path drivers.
  • Experience supporting program reviews, audits, and government assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) processes and tools to track project scope, schedule, and cost performance in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends and risks affecting schedule, cost, and performance baselines, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate the program’s Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and ensure alignment with program milestones and objectives.
  • Monitor project performance using metrics such as Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
  • Prepare and maintain detailed EVM reports in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and government personnel to ensure EVM data supports decision-making and program objectives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing corrective action plans to address identified performance issues.
  • Support audits, reviews, and assessments of EVM processes per contractual requirements.
  • Participate in and support Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Program Status Reviews (PSRs), and other relevant program meetings.
  • Provide training and guidance on EVMS processes and best practices to project teams.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to verify adherence to EVMS guidelines.
