About The Position

Young Interventions, Inc. is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist in South Monterey County (Greenfield, Soledad, Gonzales, King City, & surrounding areas). This position is available as a part-time or full-time opening, requiring availability to work 20+ client hours per week, plus drive time between sessions. The organization's mission is to improve the quality of life for infants and toddlers with or at risk of developing developmental disabilities. Professionals will work with children in family homes to implement personalized family-focused treatment programs. Young Interventions, Inc. Programs utilize a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model to guide families in helping their child reach developmental milestones. The role requires home visits within the Southern Part of Monterey County, with efforts to center caseloads around preferred locations. While most programming is in client homes, there may also be a need for virtual sessions due to illness or special circumstances, resulting in a mixed caseload of in-person and virtual services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required (Child Development, Psychology, or related field)
• Solid knowledge of basic stages of Infant / Toddler Child Development
• Minimum of 1-year experience working with children 0-5 years
• Hold a valid Driver's License
• Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day (within 30 mile radius)
• Maintain current Vehicle Insurance & Registration
• Maintain current CPR Certification (Infant, Child & Adult)
• Have current TB

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Children with Special Needs is preferred
• Ability to speak and read fluently in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin is desired

Responsibilities
