About The Position

Experienced Early Intervention Special Instructors needed for the Philadelphia area Be part of an early intervention program serving children and families. Anastasia Care Early Intervention Services birth-3, is seeking Special Instructors with pediatric experience to provide contract therapy services in our Infant/Toddler programs, serving children ages birth to three in their homes and community. Our early intervention programs provide a range of services for children and families that also include Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Nutritional and Behavioral services. Job Type: Independent Contract Remuneration : commensurate with experience and qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early intervention, early childhood education, special education, child development or family studies.
  • One year experience working directly with birth to three Early Intervention, pre-school children or children with disabilities and their families.
  • Complete competencies as state mandated.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early intervention services consistent with professional standards.
  • Design the learning environment and activities to encourage the infant or toddler to acquire developmental skills, cognition and social skills. Work with family and caregivers to establish daily routines to increase learning.
  • Provide information and resources to families of a disabled child.
  • Provide families with corrective action and/or support to enhance child’s ability to benefit from their educational environment.
  • Adhere to all federal, state and county guidelines for early intervention.
  • Participate in Individualized Family Service Plans as indicated.
  • Ensure all children are serviced in their least restrictive environment.
  • Plan and organize instruction in ways to maximize the child’s learning.
  • Implement curriculum that encourages goal attainment as per the IFSP.
  • Understand the special needs of the child and advocate for the child with others.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as needed.
  • Maintain all documents as per county policy and document findings timely, accurately and adhering to all educational guidelines.
  • Complete billing and bill patients accurately and ethically for services rendered.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient records, correspondence as per HIPAA, Title 34, CFR Part 99, 300-576 and The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, CFR Part 303 IDE.
  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and families.
  • Comply with all company policy and procedure and safety guidelines.
  • Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
