About The Position

Criterion Wachusett Early Intervention Program is currently seeking a full time Program Director. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college in a field related to early childhood development, pediatric therapy or mental health.
  • Three (3) years pediatric experience. Two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Current Massachusetts registration, if applicable.
  • Current Malpractice Insurance, if applicable. Obtains Department of Public Health Early Intervention Director Certification within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Possesses tact and courtesy when relating to children, parents and co-workers.
  • Complies with all agency, state and federal documentation requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality as specified by agency policy, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participates in recruitment and termination of staff.
  • Provides orientation and training to staff.
  • Provides supervision to all staff.
  • Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations
  • Participates in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
  • Facilitates referrals to school systems and other community providers.
  • Maintains appropriate communication with physicians, clinics and other community agencies.
  • Meets with the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services on a regular basis.
