We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Early Education Site Director / Kindergarten Coach to lead the academic, operational, and cultural success of our early childhood program. In this role, you will guide a team of educators, partner closely with families, and ensure our youngest learners thrive in a safe, joyful, and developmentally rich environment. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate, organized, and growth-minded leader who loves being present in classrooms, supporting teachers, and building a strong, nurturing school community from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid state administrative credential or early childhood leadership certification (or eligibility)
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in an early childhood or preschool setting
  • At least one (1) year of experience leading or coaching adults
  • Demonstrated success supporting child development and learning outcomes
  • Commitment to Movement Schools’ mission and values

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Preschool Director, Assistant Director, or Lead Teacher
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements and early childhood regulations
  • Experience in a mission-driven, charter, or community-based program
  • Knowledge of play-based, developmentally appropriate, and data-informed practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support teachers in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction
  • Foster a safe, structured, and joyful school culture rooted in care, consistency, and high expectations
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety requirements
  • Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development practices
  • Use child assessment data and observations to monitor progress and guide instructional decisions
  • Build strong, trusting partnerships with families through clear communication and engagement
  • Oversee daily operations, staffing, schedules, and site logistics
  • Plan and facilitate professional development and coaching for staff
  • Serve as the instructional and operational leader of the early education site
  • Model professionalism, warmth, and a deep commitment to early childhood excellence
