The Early College Liaison requires a multi-talented, flexible individual committed to scholar success to and through college. The Early College Liaison demonstrates the academic disposition and habits to support scholars in their early college coursework and prepare them for postsecondary success. The Early College Liaison’s primary role is to act as a bridge between Argosy Collegiate scholars and the higher-ed institution through frequent communication with the professor of record in regards to scholars’ progress and achievement in the course. Early College Liaison’s also facilitate “companion courses” that correspond with the course(s) in which scholars are enrolled. In these companion courses, Early College liaisons develop self-advocacy skills, collegiate communication, and effective study habits. The Early College Liaison also provides or secures academic help to ensure scholars meet the academic requirements of a given dual enrollment course. The Early College Liaison role focuses on wrap-around scholar support for all scholars including those supported by special education plans and English Language programs. The Early College Liaison also assists Argosy Collegiate staff that are acting as companion course teachers, ensuring timely progress-monitoring, and effective support. They also work closely with the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, Deans of College and Career Readiness, and the higher-education partners to ensure access and equity for all scholars on their path towards preparation for college, career, and life.
