Department: Willie Price Lab School Job Summary: Prepares curriculum, facilitates classroom programs, and assesses student progress to ensure safety and foster an environment of learning and development. Job Description: Plans and facilitates classroom programming and coordinates daily classroom activities for an early childhood education facility according to established curriculums. Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom. Evaluates individualized and developmental educational plans for children in collaboration with other stakeholders, as needed. Maintains and documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations. Manage and provide guidance to teaching assistants who assist in the delivery of content and student support.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate daily classroom programming aligned with established early‑childhood curricula.
  • Coordinate and oversee day‑to‑day classroom activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children.
  • Monitor and support the physical well‑being of children throughout the day.
  • Evaluate and implement individualized and developmental education plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Document and maintain clear, timely communication with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide updates on child activities, progress, and concerns as required.
  • Manage, guide, and support teaching assistants in delivering instruction and student support effectively.
