Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Effective at meeting deadlines Experience with/desire to work with preschool-age children Participate in transition meetings and activities with Infant-Toddler and Elementary Resource program providers Knowledge of Special Education principles, theories, testing, methods, etc. Maintain compliance with special education documentation and timelines Knowledge of the IEP process and procedures and the ability to implement, coordinate and deliver educational services based on the IEP Serve as an equal member in the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team evaluations Use effective instructional strategies to design and deliver instruction Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans. Use data to make instructional decisions Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, colleagues and administrators. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. CPI/Ukeru train preferred. Qualifications Profile Certification/License: - Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate, ZS/ZA Endorsement Major/Minor in Special Education
