About The Position

Home of Guiding Hands is hiring an Early Childhood Educator to support children ages 0–3 with developmental delays or disabilities in their homes. In this role, you’ll help children reach key developmental milestones while partnering closely with families in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a Teaching Permit or Credential.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities (experience with ages 0–3 preferred).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, family-centered approach.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Successful DOJ background clearance required.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required (training provided if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Client Intake & Assessment Review referral materials, collateral, and intake information.
  • Complete intake paperwork, assessments, and written reports with children and their families.
  • Individualized Program Planning Develop each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) using the assigned curriculum.
  • Identify goals and strategies tailored to each child and family’s needs.
  • Service Delivery & Home Visits Schedule, plan, and conduct in-home sessions to support IFSP goals.
  • Provide services in family homes and other approved community locations.
  • Family & Team Collaboration Maintain ongoing communication with families and members of the Early Start team.
  • Coordinate services to ensure continuity of care and goal alignment.
  • Documentation & Records Management Prepare, collect, and maintain case notes, educational records, and required documentation.
  • Manage files and reports from outside agencies in compliance with program requirements.
  • Family Support & Resources Research services and resources based on family needs.
  • Provide families with educational materials and community resource referrals.
  • Travel Travel throughout the assigned county to deliver services.
