About The Position

Are you a teacher who is passionate about the development of children at an early age and loves creating a fun, safe, and educational environment for them to thrive? We have the role for you! As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for infants and children. You will engage in activities that foster intellectual, physical, and emotional development, ensuring the well-being and security of each child in your care. You will implement an explorative curriculum, provide a flexible yet predictable schedule, and maintain a clean, well-maintained, and safe facility. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must meet all federal and state childcare licensing requirements.
  • Current negative TB test.
  • Ability to obtain the Memo of Eligibility through State of Nevada Childcare Licensing and attend 24 hours of continuing education courses in the area of Early Childhood Development per year.
  • Must have proven communication, team building, and supervisory skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, as well as early education theories and practices.
  • Must have previous experience in developing age-appropriate educational programs and activities for children ages 0-10.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience in an educational setting within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Additional certifications in child development or education.
  • Previous experience in child development and knowledge of early education theories and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities to stimulate and develop children's intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.
  • Implement a dynamic and explorative curriculum that includes active free play.
  • Ensure that all children are supervised at all times to guarantee their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with each child to create a nurturing environment.
  • Ensure the facility and all equipment are clean, well-maintained, and safe for children.
  • Provide a flexible yet predictable daily schedule to help children learn and grow.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
