About The Position

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Health, Psychology or a related field
  • 5 years’ experience working with families and young children and at least 1 year experience in coalition and community partnership building, or training
  • Ability to work fully remote
  • Be able to lift 25 30 lbs.
  • Be able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on the floor, see, hear and speak with children to ensure children's health and safety.
  • Daily access to transportation.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License-Class C.
  • Vehicle insurance (personal injury and liability).
  • Must be flexible with hours.
  • Initial Health Exam required for all Head Start staff at the agency’s expense.
  • Initial and annual TB screening are required for all Head Start staff at the agency's expense.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree in Child Development, Social Work or a related field
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Parent Support/Training, 2 years experience in coalition and community partnership building, or training and 5 years experience working with families and young children.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with public and private partner organizations
  • Effectively engage in regular communications towards developing and implementing key objectives of the Help Me Grow systems model
  • Support data collection and analysis related to coalition strategic goals
  • Plan and facilitate coalition meetings
  • Serve as Learn the Signs. Act Early. Deputy Ambassador and promote in the community
  • Provide presentations on local and state level early childhood data and research to community stakeholders
  • Engage child care and child health providers in supporting and promoting coalition initiatives
  • Conduct family and community engagement outreach and education events
  • Engage parents and caregivers in development of coalition initiatives
  • Supervise Community Events Specialist facilitating Home Visiting Department events
  • Submits time sheets accurately and on time to supervisor.
  • Submits mileage accurately and on time to supervisor.
  • Attends all staff and other meetings as assigned.
  • Manages time effectively.
  • Be a positive role model.
  • Maintains confidentiality: records, client services, and staff.
  • Adheres to agency's best practices related to time and leave.
  • Dress is appropriate to work environment.
  • Maintains professionalism.
  • Maintains a safe, orderly and clean environment.
  • Willing to work at alternative locations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
