About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Mechanical Engineer for our Maitland, Florida office. Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. This Opportunity The Early Career Substation Civil Designer will share responsibility with the rest of the department to produce a product consistent with WSP's mission statement and our culture. They are expected to support the department in achieving the goals of the department, maintain WSP's high-quality standards, promote internal teamwork and meet the needs of our clients. Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
  • Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired
