About The Position

The Maintenance I&E Technician plays a key role in supporting terminal operations by maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in electrical, instrumentation, related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems, including low- to medium-voltage equipment, control valves, level controllers, and vapor systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a solid technical aptitude.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required and willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in terminal, pipeline, industrial, or maintenance environments is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with computer systems; experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (e.g., JDE) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture by actively participating in Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and electrical systems, including compressors, pumps, control valves, transmitters, vapor control systems, and firefighting/safety equipment.
  • Support the reliable operation of terminal assets by diagnosing equipment issues and implementing timely, effective solutions.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs in alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and maintenance management systems.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, documentation, and maintenance history to support operational excellence and compliance.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of terminal equipment and systems in accordance with engineering standards and company policies.
  • Continuously build technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, and emerging technologies to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify improvement opportunities and communicate safety, operational, and equipment concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
