About The Position

The position is responsible for helping grow and maintain a certain category of business. This includes knowing the products, brands, and sales metrics within the assigned business category. The role involves analyzing e-commerce data including POS, shipments, and other key category/customer-specific metrics to develop a strategic plan to grow the business. The individual will identify strategies and actionable steps to enhance business performance. Additionally, the role requires developing a winning growth strategy based on data insights, market understanding, and competition analysis. Frequent presentations of business insights to cross-functional teams are expected, utilizing weekly POS data and other daily activities to demonstrate growth efforts. The position also involves identifying competitive actions and communicating plans to succeed in a category that represents millions of dollars in revenues. Subject matter expertise in assigned product categories is essential, along with ownership of day-to-day business administration on assigned accounts. Collaboration with the Advertising Manager to strategize advertising for key items and grow both organic and paid sales is a key responsibility. Leading weekly meetings with product management to foster teamwork and alignment on growth strategies is also required. The individual will develop a promotional strategy aligned with the Pricing Department and update the Promotional Calendar accordingly, ensuring alignment with healthy inventory levels. Collaboration with the Purchasing Department on inventory levels is necessary to optimize sales opportunities. Participation in key meetings regarding new product/brand launches and business reviews is expected. The role also involves driving strategies to maintain acceptable levels of excess and idle inventory, creating content, listings, and pricing strategies to meet objectives. A dashboard of critical tactical activities will be created and maintained to assist in business growth. Internal pricing requests will be prepared to balance profitability with customer-specific margin requirements. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.
