About The Position

With 18 retail stores, an online store, an extensive reuse/recycling operation, and our Contract Services division, we help individuals overcome barriers to employment, build sustainable lives and communities. The E-Commerce Book Lead is an advanced role responsible for coordinating daily book and media processing operations while supporting team performance, quality, and productivity goals. This position serves as a bridge between Associates and Supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to read. write and speak in English.
  • Ability to type in English fast enough to meet production goals.
  • Knowledge of general arithmetic (adding/subtracting) required.
  • Experience in material handling
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work well with others in a close office environment.
  • Ability to coordinate hand-eye-foot movement to safely maneuver/handle equipment and lift/stack donations.
  • Ability to understand English, accept directions and follow procedures.
  • Ability to perform routine work, adapting to change as it relates to workflow.
  • Ability to maintain self-control and work in cooperation with co-workers.
  • Ability to examine items and visually differentiate between them based on quality standards.
  • Ability to meet and maintain established standards

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish fluency is desired.
  • Experience using Forklift is desired, but not required. Training will be provided if need be.
  • Comfortable operating heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workflow of book/media processing from intake through scanning, listing, and staging.
  • Ensure proper prioritization of inventory to meet production and sales goals.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards for listings, condition grading, and sorting accuracy.
  • Provide hands-on training and coaching to Associates I and II on book/media processes and SOPs.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and reinforcing productivity expectations.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for troubleshooting equipment or workflow issues.
  • Conduct routine quality checks on processed inventory and listings.
  • Ensure accurate categorization, pricing support, and adherence to company standards.
  • Identify and communicate process gaps or inefficiencies to management.
  • Perform all functions and duties of the E-Commerce Associate I-III as needed.
  • Book/Media Scanning (Manual or Autoline), Book/Media Listing, Book/Media Tipping (Machine), Order Pulling, Book/Media Shipping (Manual), Warehouse Consolidation, Retail Book Fulfillment.
  • Load and unload trailers.
  • Coordinate and organize inventory in the warehouse.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all times.
  • Meet productivity goals for the assigned role on a consistent basis.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by a lead or manager.
