About The Position

Pulaski County Public Safety is seeking to fill full-time E-911 Telecommunicator positions. This role involves handling emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching first responders, operating communication systems, and maintaining records. The position reports to the Public Safety Telecommunicator Shift Supervisor. Work hours are determined by the shift supervisor. Applicants must be able to work any shift, including shift rotations, weekends, and holidays, and be available to work overtime as needed to meet operational requirements. “On Call” days are also required each month. This is an essential position requiring employees to work during inclement weather and be available for immediate recall during emergencies. The salary range for this position is $42,630 - $68,378, and compensation is commensurate with education and experience.

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a High School Diploma
  • Complete the Department of Criminal Justice Services Entry Level Dispatch Academy training program
  • Individual must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work any shift, including shift rotations, weekends, and holidays
  • Be available to work overtime as needed to meet operational requirements
