Job Summary The Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the Business Central environment. They work closely with the finance, accounting, and IT teams within the business. The ideal candidate has a functional understanding of the financial accounting processes and a deep understanding of Business Central. Success in this role requires high attention to detail, ability to self-start, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator reports to the Manager of Financial Systems, works mostly in a remote environment, and holds an exempt status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience administering Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and ERP financial modules.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Business Central SaaS environments and DevOps lifecycle
  • Excellent Power BI skills. Ability to extract data and create data models.
  • Excellent Excel skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Technical certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary administrator for Dynamics 365 Business Central on configuration, security, user management, and system health.
  • Acts as day-to-day support and the first point of contact for all user support requests and tickets.
  • Troubleshoots system issues, coordinate resolutions, and manage updates and patches.
  • Manage UAT environments.
  • Partner closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business requirements and ensure Business Central supports business processes effectively.
  • Translate accounting and financial requirements into system configurations and workflows.
  • Assist with financial close activities by ensuring system integrity and accurate financial data.
  • Optimize financial modules (GL/AP/AR/FA/Inventory/Costing) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
  • Challenge the status quo by suggesting process improvement and automation opportunities; flawlessly implement efficiencies.
  • Participate in special projects such as upgrades, integrations, and migrations.
  • Create documentation such as workflows, process diagrams, requirements, and user guides.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and M&A integration.
  • Travel for this role is estimated at less than 10%.
  • Other duties as assigned.
