About The Position

We are seeking a proactive, high-level Restoration Collections Specialist to lead our collections team. This managerial role is perfect for a self-starter who excels in overseeing the entire collections process and thrives on managing strategic planning and team coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and recovering all outstanding debts to ensure the financial health of our organization. You will need strong communication and problem-solving skills and will be committed to providing excellent customer service while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience specifically in property restoration collections within an insurance framework.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate complex negotiations.
  • Strong leadership and self-starting capabilities to manage and mentor a team efficiently.
  • Previous experience in managing restoration accounts receivable and high level customer service is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and empathetic demeanor and ability to firmly escalate our expectation for payment.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and self-initiate as part of a team.
  • Works well under pressure, ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree is a major plus although candidates with high school diploma will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets involving the collection process with an emphasis on strategic planning and implementation.
  • Contact clients with past-due accounts via phone, email, and mail to resolve outstanding payments.
  • Lead and oversee the entire insurance-based property collections process, guiding the team with a proactive approach.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant insurance regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex cases and improve collection strategies.
  • Negotiate and establish feasible payment plans with customers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities and communications.
  • Monitor customer accounts for adherence to repayment plans.
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and state debt collection laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as customer service and legal, to resolve complex cases.
  • Utilize internal software and institutional resources to locate and track debtors.
