About The Position

Supports winding and twisting applications by dyeing, waterproofing and preshrinking braided material. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Dyes braided material by placing it through dye machine; packages finished material for further manufacturing processes. Transports chemicals to machinery; mixes chemicals according to formula information obtained from style sheet. (Style sheet is found at the machine) Pours dye mixture into pitcher or dye machine. Starts machine by starting steam valve; waits for machine to get hot; places braid to be dyed in machine; places boxes in front of machine to catch dyed braid. Checks braid as it goes through dye machine and visually inspects product for any knots, tangles or tears that could hinder operation; ensures braid is deposited into box. Transports finished product on hand truck, weighs boxes, records net weight along with style number on box. Transports boxes to finishing department. Completes a move ticket recording style, amount of product, etc.; places a copy of the move ticket on the box, give original to the supervisor. Maintains dye house logbook in compliance with environmental reporting requirements. Changes machinery over in order to fit braid correctly into machine Check’s wastewater tank and records watercolor every half hour. Cleans machinery at the end of every day. Drains machine of unused dye; places dye in fifty-five (55) gallon drum and stores for future use. Performs other duties at or above the same skill level at the discretion of the supervisor. Overall awareness and understanding that Hope Global operates within the EMS 14001 & QMS 16949 management systems Additional training over the course of the employee's tenure will be given as needed or required and in accordance with the criteria specified in ESP7.2/QSP 7.2.1Training Awareness and Competence
